Tooele County is located in northwestern Utah. It is south and southwest of the Great Salt Lake, and a 25-minute drive west of Salt Lake International Airport.

How to get here:

From Salt Lake International Airport, Salt Lake City, or Salt Lake Valley: Proceed west on Interstate 80. Or west on Highway 201, which merges onto westbound I-80 at Black Rock. Proceed to Exit 99 on I-80 at Lake Point. The community of Lake Point, located within view of the southern shoreline of the Great Salt Lake, is the eastern gateway to Tooele County. Highway 36, which begins in Lake Point, accesses Tooele Valley and leads to the communities of Tooele, Grantsville and Stansbury Park. Highway 36 also leads to Miller Motorsports Park, Deseret Peak Complex and Deseret Peak Wilderness Area.

From Nevada: Proceed east on Interstate 80 to the Nevada and Utah border community of Wendover. Tooele Valley is 90 miles to the east on I-80.

From Utah County: From Lehi proceed west on Highway 73 through Cedar Fort and on to Five Mile Pass. The county line for Utah and Tooele Counties is at the summit of Five Mile Pass. Proceed west and north to the Junction of Hwy. 73 and Hwy. 36. Turn right and it’s 12 miles to Tooele City.

From central Utah: From Delta, proceed north on Hwy. 6 to the Hwy. 36 interchange just south of Eureka. Turn left on to Hwy. 36 and proceed north to Vernon, through Rush Valley and on into Tooele.
